And Away It Went

The last couple days of our OBX vacation were either cool, windy, or rainy and there was no way we were going to stay in a beach house for more than 48 hours. So, out we went on an adventure to buy a kite and play with the kids.

Now, second challenge, how in the world do you get everything in a frame (or even two) to really tell the story of how their first kite flying experience went???? You don't... or at least I didn't/couldn't. So, I did what I could and got these:

OBX Sunrise

The girls woke me up extra early one morning so I grabbed Tommie (as he was peacefully sleeping) and asked if we could run out to the beach to catch the sunrise. Thankfully, I have one of the most supportive husbands out there and he packed the girls up and headed out with me. I ran out to the ocean and snapped away. 15 minutes later and I have these to last me a lifetime!

OBX Anyone??

We are wrapping up our summer in the OBX this week. We took the girls to the ocean for the first time (technically London's 2nd time but I can't quite count the first time since she was just over one and only looked at it from afar). Anyway, here are a few shots from our first day out. Enjoy! They sure did!!!
